Or do what I did on quite a few of my yaks. Mad Frog Gear Liberator with a TDA mounted on a rail. Battery in a dry bag in the footwell. Obviously, not the greatest solution if you do a lot of surf launches. But, works great for normal launches.

Garmin Striker 4 has an Ice setup that would work. They are cheap too.
