Great story. Congratulations! I assume the second hookup was a 2nd fish? Or did you catch the same fish twice?

When you pulled him in by the gills, I'm glad he didn't chomp down on your leg, .... or other extremities.

You can get your rod tip fixed at Squidco. They can do it while you wait. Great service there.

Yah different fish. And yah, speaking of the chomping, when he was in my kayak I stupidly had his head towards my unit and he tried to take a chomp lol not doing that again.

There's some nasty teeth close to those gills, and even the gills can rake you pretty good.
