If you park on the other side of the harbor near the Harbor police station there is a dock where you can park for free and launch your yak off the dock. It's where all of the seals have been hanging out.

I used to fish that area frequently. Never caught yellows or sea bass off C-bad. Lots of calico bass and halibut tho.
There's loads of low hard bottom and little kelp beds from the army/navy academy on south to about as far as you want to go. There's the pipeline off Palomar airport road that can provides good fish attracting structure. There's a canyon off Terramar that can hold thresher and mako sharks. Kayak catchable size but 1000 lb-ers too. YT get in all asking the coast. Same with these areas. But they don't seem to settle in and provide a year round fishery. Mike. |

Yes sir you are exactly right.
Tomorrow will be flat lake pacific so I will try it again to see if they are still around. Should be a nice day on the water anyways.
