Just to be clear-there’s not a single kayak in the sale that is offered with an X seat?
The way my ass falls asleep in my current set up, I’m fast realizing my big priority in my next purchase is a raised mesh seat |

Oh man....My Stealth 14 was stolen about 3 years ago and I've recently got the itch again. I've been talking myself out of thinking about getting another for a couple weeks...now this happens.

I have just confirmed that there will be X Seats sold separately for the applicable models. Waiting on pricing. These were first run models that can not be used in the high position as they had to make alterations, (I never put any of these style seats in the high position) plenty high to start with and comfort level is huge.

The X seat is only for 2017 models, guessing they don't have any of those for the Saturday sale.
Speaking of Malibu Kayaks... I have a 2015 X-Factor and am fairly satisfied with it, with the exception of it taking on a gallon or so of water every time a heavy wave crashes over the front hatch, typical on beach launches or landings. Thinking about permanently closing off the front hatch by sealing it with some silicone. Does anyone have any experience with dealing with this situation? Happened to mention it to a guy who was familiar with them and he laughed and said,"Malibu Kayaks come with 2 gallons of water in them", so I knew it wasn't just my kayak and at this point I'm wondering how I can fix it. Any ideas? Thanks... |

I only see one Excaliber on my inventory sheet,
The newer Malibus went to trim loc for a better sealing bow hatch. The tighter you attach the better it keeps out water. There will be newer models sold with the seat pan to use aftermarket seating. X Seats will be available as an option. These retail for $350 and we will be selling them for $250
