Where they in the rear rod holders , when they got broken ?

Yes I launched on the surf side of Cabrillo and after paddling back from Angel's gate once a few weeks ago with a decent head wind I will never do that again. Through the surf for me.

One was in the rear holder one was in the front on the same side. Both of the longer rods got broken. I had a shorter rod I use to make bait and it was fine in the rear holder. I think for my next landing I am going to stow the rods in horizontal position to avoid this in the future. I am not sure how I am going to strap them in but they will not be sticking out to catch the sand if I capsize.

WSB was 2-3 inches short of legal (~25-26 inches long).
