Congrats on the T-Shark and thanks for sharing. They are an absolute blast to fight and one of the best table fares, IMHO. The belly meat is really excellent!
I have caught a bunch sharks over the years, but have only harvested one myself, to date. Here is that experience Its not as easy as it may look, especially in my case. I took a larger Thresher on a 27.5˝ wide kayak. Some suggestions have been mentioned, but here is some nice info of Thresher sharks that may be helpful for all. Know the difference between male vs female (claspers), how to minimize the fight for release and how to handle. Cheers! ![]() |
