Nothing unless you want a lighter battery that will last more Fishing time on the water without having to recharge. The amount of times it can be charged is much higher as well. Pretty important for guys going to baja where power is limited at times. But also just a much better battery for a FF all around. |

BTW, learning to charge a lipo is super important.
Get a decent charger and it would be super useful if it can balance and discharge as well for storage. |

I run my head unit with a Bioenno 12v/12a battery, I can get two full days of fishing one a full charge.

Been through three SLA fish finder batteries in the last five years… At 20 bucks a pop that 60 bucks. Bought a lithium battery for $100 which should last me at least five years or more. Plus it’s half the weight and last 12 hours or more on a single charge versus maybe seven hours for an SLA. Don’t regret buy the lithium for a minute and I’m a cheap bastard. ![]() |
