Sorry to be a weenie, welcome to the board . I think there would only be a few exceptions of people that have not donated a rod or something else expensive to La Jolla. Dan was right, pre-rig rods to avoid sea sickness. I also take a half dose of non drowsy dramamine the night before I go out. I find that if I take it the night before, it does not make me feel like a zombie as bad. Bonnie and the generic also works. I think it is all the same stuff- Meclizine HCL 25mg. Sometimes I will get some raw ginger and munch on it on the drive down to the shores, I know other guys like the candied ginger. Avoid greasy foods too. Last but not least, make or buy a rod leash and use it. Here is one

no need to aplogize for anything Steve!
now i'm worried if my rod looks like that now
for sure, eating 2 Mcgriddles before the trip was NOT a good idea!
