Depends on the water quality on where you catch them. For example, I wouldn't eat anything out of MDR, raw or cooked.

The meat in the pic looks clean enough, I bet if there were critters in that flesh, the chef would have seen them.

We got em in 210' - 185' on sunday with small spots of bait at 50-75'.
