I still don't think the quick release mount is attaching exactly right. Every time I try to move the fishfinder by grabbing the back of the screen so i can move it around a little bit, it ends up detaching from the mount very easily.

Show us a picture of how you’re mounting it. You may have the two tab bracket upside down.
