This really sucks! Islandia is my favorite landing to go to and I have been going there for 4 years on a monthly basis! Man o man poor Jason; great guy just in a sour mood because he barely makes ends meet so even though he may cruise a little close to kayakers, he is a good guy....

I'm really flustered and confused... How did this happen and why? The article just outlined the basics...

"Prieto said KenCal indicated it wants to convert the docks to get more private boats in the slips."

-They could probably double the income from private boats.

ffice:smarttags" name="place">For those who don't know, Kencal LLC is an identity created by Kennedy Associates Real Estate counsel who appear to own half the world. This identity was made for the purchase of the Hyatt Regency Islandia.

If this display of corporate greed and selfishness make you upset as well, PLEASE bombard their top executives with angry letters or whatever you may find appropriate. Their e-mails addresses are on their website, but I'll copy and paste them as well.

Also write Jerry Sanders and the City Council. Let them know that fishermen vote. Politicians are in it for the next election. If im not mistaken the City leases to the Hyatt, let them know where your vote is going. After all it is public land/water.
