Menash, Welcome aboard. Everybody has their favorites, for deep jigging you want a 6 1/2 foot rod rated in the 20-50 pound class, use 30-40 pound mono line. I like the Shimano Speedmaster and the Diawa SL20, you want something with a minimum 4 to 1 gear ratio, with 6 to 1 being ideal for me.
