Nice day on the pond...shameless plug coming...here it comes...sorry to threadjack...

Hmmmm....bonito everywhere, pup Makos, you weren't trying for calicos, sand bass, rock fish, sand dabs, sculpin, white fish, sheepshead, halibut, and still had that variety?

Seems the enviros, Iteam, and others against fishing just might be missing something, since they tend to think there are no fish left in LJ...

See everyone on the 21st...

Nice shots...I didn't know there was a mako pup season. I've had mako before and it's pretty good....

Crazy. Did those guys behind you in the last pic launch that little boat form the shores? Thats just about as crazy as that shark.

I have no idea. I have seen boats like that launch at the shores in the past.

Why would launching a small boat from the beach be crazy? I've been beach launching small boats from the beach since 1971. Commercial lobster fisherman used to launch from the beach. A small boat is way more stable than a kayak.

Catching Bonito is always fun and a small Mako adds to the adventure.

Never meant crazy in a bad way. Just wondering if they did. I've been curious, but hesitant to try.

Yes, but landing a keeper on a kayak could tun bad in an instant. They bite hard and fast, and are contortionists.

He may even jump in your lap just to bite you, they bite at anything.

Great video! That is why I have the EXTRA Loooonng needle nose on board! Those little suckers will contort when you least expect it. It's all fun and games until someone loses a pinky
