Hey Paul,

If you are monitoring, please correct the woman who claimed that kayaks can launch from the cove. No floating devices are allowed there. Other than Big Rock near Windansea there are no usable launches at the La Jolla rock beaches. Would closing South LJ mean that launches would be prohibited there?

Dare we hope that we may come out of this with somewhere we can still fish in LJ? The fact that they are considering allowing the catching of bait at the pier is a hopeful sign.

I think the West End of Catalina is clear!...yeah!! Rocky Point? we aren't getting updates on BT, so PAUL don't skip over updating Rocky Point PV info here.

Problem is your going to have a mass of people all fishing one area in LJ and us who fish point loma will no longer have it to ourselves

Yes looks like west end is clear but long point boat in camping is done.

Paul Lebowitz Got the word on the B option SMCA. "Recreational coastal pelagics by hook and line only." Sorry my amphibious friends, there's no joy for you. And I fear our YT spot is done. Someone please double check the MLPA definition of coastal pelagics.

Coastal pelagics mean bait only.

pelagic means yt, wsb, and t sharks.

Greg: Rocky Pt is looking pretty good. It'll be either an SMR farther down on the west face, or another one slightly north that gets the bottom 1/4 or so of RP. Cat West End is safe.

I'm going back to my Facebook feed. Please keep reposting the major stuff over here for me.
