I'm not a fan. The nebraska tailwalkers that are stocked at Miramar do have the nice looking pink flesh but they still taste like a stocker. Still fun to catch on the ultralight gear. My limits go straight to the freezer and then to the nets.

Little Waters Edge

I have been fishing Jennings for trout ... pink/orange meat. Its been slow
though except early morning. Slow troll powerbait/crawler. Kayaks not allowed.

Tasted spectacular. Broiled, with some spices of my wife's choosing (?)...

The lake is plugged with trout now, and the bass are starting to prowl.

I like to target trout with small kastmasters from a rental boat starting
in early Feb through March if the Pacific is stormy and uninviting.

Last weekend even got some good bumps tossing a 7" castaic trout, but
nothing stuck. Didn't have the treble stinger hook on it though. duh
