I love my Hobie. Super stable and lots of room for plenty of gear. I installed two of the Ram 2008 rod tubes and like them a lot. LOVE my FF. It's a Lowrance HDS-5. It's amazing

been thinking about getting a Pro Angler, but have major reservations about putting it on top of my truck. how hard or difficult was it for you to mount it? and i assume you did it by yourself as well?

It would definitely be a chore getting it on top of a truck, suckers are heavy, especially at the end of the day. My car is relatively short and the Thule Glide and Set craddles make doing it by myself a smooth job. My first goal was to get a used truck and transport it in the bed with one of those hitch mount, 'goal post' things. Just could'nt find one in my budget so the roof rack was the next option. You could probably do it much easier with one of those Thule Outriggers http://www.rei.com/product/723906 or the Yakima Boat loader http://www.rei.com/product/679458.
