I am so friggin anxious for this report. This is the first mothership of the season going out there right? Have a blast. Someone needs to pound some sand for the halis so I can hear how that went

The weather does look pretty nice...
I'll be out there with the mini hobie fleet on a blackman 39, we're leaving friday morning and probably gonna hit pyrimid cove.....also heard of a paddy BFT recently caught around the 60bank. I'll see if I can find you guys saterday on the radio....I cant wait!!!! ![]() |

I went and poured with Reebs last night. He is hooking everyone on the boat up with a Kelp Assassin. I'm picking up the shirts and beer and Ballast Point tomorrow

i am so amped for this trip! i do have a few questions though..
should i wear waders, or is it going to be so hot that is should wear boardshorts? also.. should i bring my sabiki rod? the reebs kelp assassin looks nice.. i bought a bunch of warbaits from afran this week for the trip. ![]() |

I'd bring waders, sometimes it gets chilly there, if it is nice and hot, leave them in your stateroom.
The Islander usually has sardines, if you want bait other than sardines, you may want to bring a sabiki rod. If you want to save space, bring a sabiki, make bait with your jig stick, then wrap the sabiki around a piece of pool noodle. Love the Islander, 3 weeks! ![]() |
