La Jolla Kayak Kelp Dive 5-21-06 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I've fished the Pt. Loma kelp beds a number of times. I've launched from both Mission Bay and Shelter Island to get there. Plan on an all day adventure. I've fished both inside and outside of the kelp with some success; mostly bass. I also managed to get rolled a couple of times because I wasn't paying attention to the surf. You get some breakers forming up quite a ways out from the cliffs. :shock:
