Yes, its legal. But you sure get a pucker factor of 10 every time you come to a stop or put on the brakes. That's why I added lights. It served it's purpose.

I have a brand new one of those, I used to move one yak one time then I
figured out a different system, if anyone needs one let me know...I am not using it....b

I cannot stand it when someone say's, "I'll buy it" and never follows up, not even a simple call! So with that, I have a bed extender and lighting available. I won't mention screen names, but for anyone else besides (), can have it, including the lights. Just come pick it up. Free.

Cant beat free! I use the same rack for my yak, and agree I keep an eye on my rear view when stopped. Never thought of adding the lights, go idea. I do have a red LED glow light I stick off the back at night for when I get done buggin.

The only other thing that gets me is when there is a dip in the road or when I leave a driveway or entrance to a parking lot that transitions from a slope to a flat road surface. I usually scrape the road surface because I dont have any lift on my truck.

If you werent so far away, I would pick it up for free to have an extra and the light addition for my set up. If you head down to SD any time soon let me know and I will meet up with you to take it off your hands.
