Same with me. The guys at Squidco had me buy a bunch of those lures when I first got started. I played with them in the pool and have dragged them around the fishing grounds but have never gotten a bit on one of these lures. I have a dozen or so that I still carry around with me. One of these days I will put one one again and hopefully catch something.

A couple years in, I have learned that live bait works best for the pelagics and lead head plastic works best for bass in the kelp. Not that I catch many of either.

Maybe the west coast fish have a bias as well.
