I use a PVC with Cork wrap handle, with my old Penn Jigmaster 500,

One good tip for you is on the flaired end of the PVC the mono line will cut and wear on the PVC, so I used some 15 minute epoxy on the flaired end on the inside 1/2", and 1/4" on the outside edge, and it's smooth like glass.....

Just roll the PVC untill the epoxy hardens no more line grooves from the mono on the PVC, and has held up very well for over a year now,

My 3/4" PVC Sabiki has caught some cool small Calicos ,
and a monster 2+ lb. Mackrel, Not much bend on the PVC though but it will actually cast somewhat decent.
