Am I wrong in thinking that you are only allowed to fish a max depth of 60 fathoms or 360' deep?

Hey Frank if you gonna be fishing 400 feet deep, I'll let you use my 4/0, spool it with 4 pound line and you are good to go for about 1000 feet.

That is Rockcod Regs (certain times of their season). You can fish everything else in whatever depth you want.
