Ive been trying for almost 10 years to get one on the kayak without even a single hook up. Got them on the boat but still not even a knockdown on yak. How I do it I have no clue. Ive even accidentally caught YT while trying.

Ive decided this is my year. Anybody with a Bigger yak want to go sometime soon and help me kill one? I figure given the time ive put in I deserve to eat it when I do catch it but my 160 isnt really the best boat to paddle a shark in. Itll likely be a few weeks before I can make it out (unless they come in Stupid thick, then ill sneak away). Who's in?
Really clifton? Ive nailed a few at LJ, released them, but my god what a fun ride. I just picked up my hobie so let me know when you want to go and im game.

Troll a Rapalla CD 11 in blue mac or flyline with a live mac with a clipped tail. Trolling speed is perfect in a kayak.

I use 25-30# tied directly to the lure or hook. Any more than that gets bit less and anything lighter than that will take too long to bring in and you will kill the shark by heart attack eliminating the option of a release.
