Yeah well... I don't pay retail.

I got my Meridian like new but used off ebay for $330.00. It wasn't listed as Gore Tex but I knew what it was. Watch ebay, know what you want and buy it when it's a good price. I just checked for deals and right now the exact same model new is being listed for $1050.00 on ebay. No thanks!!! I'll pass.

You just have to use your head and find a deal.

It's the same with the polartec. Kokatats polartec drysuit liner retails for $150, and on ebay you can get them for $100. This is for a well made but baggey polartec garment that truthfully looks like glorified long underwear.

On the other hand you can get a Henderson polartec wetsuit on ebay for around 30-40 bucks during the winter.

These are something like $250 new but people often buy them for Caribbean snorkeling trips, and then never use them again. So they end up on ebay cheap.

It will do everything the the Kokatat drysuit liner will do but it's built better with a nylon over-layer, and it actually fits and looks like a well made wetsuit. So you can actually wear it in the parking lot without looking like a complete dork, or even fish in it without the Meridian suit over it.

I wear these under my waders as well as with my Merdian drysuit. My take is they are not only warm, but if push came to shove and I sunk my yak I could kick off my waders and then swim several miles (probably into shore) in one without getting hypothermia as these suits offer the same protection wet or dry about the equivalent as 2.5mm neoprene.

I mean I hear you. Kokatat gear is expensive and it's just got more so with the gaining popularity of kayaking, but you can find deals if you look around, and bottom line Kokatat is great gear.

Yeah but the Kokatat drysuit has a cool weiner pocket for when the mornin coffee comes back to haunt you. Very utilitarian
