We all know what the right kind is, but I've got to say 2 legal lings aren't the wrong kind, especially a 32" one. True, driving from L.A. you might have higher expecatations, but a legal ling is way better than nothing. Thanks for the report.

In about an hour and a half, I pulled up two more potential keepers and lost what would have been the biggest, assuming it was another ling. It seems they were schooling under the bait. They bit on live squid, a dead squid and a little greenie. They aren't YTs or WSBs but they still gave me a good time. I also didn't know how good eating they are. Now I wish I had kept two. It's beautiful fish. Hopefully they'll still be out there on Wednesday. |
