The call on the radio was something like. "Weigh boat Steve Where you at? I have about a 25 # halibut and no gaff..........I just want my spinnerbait back"

That is a helluva brown beaver on the bass rod!

worms tend to curl up into a spiral
and move

bleeding out while still alive
tend to make them less vis

That by-catch doesn't suck! I'll go out on a limb, and say that has to be one of the biggest so-cal spinnerbait caught hali's ever. Biggest I've seen at least.
