About 7 years ago me and a friend were fishing north of Scripps before the MLPA A**holes closed it to fishing. I had no fish finder back then and was probably still using a Walmart rod.
I see this other guy hook a thresher, which broke off. So he tells me don't worry they have teeth and will probably cut your line. Next five minutes I hook one, Get it to the boat pretty fast, fish is still green. Thresher jumps over my kayak. I mean he jumps over my knees, clears the kayak lands on the other side. All I saw was a grey blur whizzing by my face. I managed to get him to the boat on my terms cause I wanted a photo of this killer. I couldn't get him out of the water for the photo cause he was too heavy. would of probably bled out from internal injuires if he hit me. One reason I will never target sharks! |
