Drop the notice in the circular file. They (dmv) is so screwed up, it will probably be years before they come after you. Then you just tell them you submitted all the paperwork in their time frame and they must have lost it like they do a lot of their stuff. That was my first instinct....but they would probably hold registration on my other vehicles or get a letter from the state comptroller demanding payment.
