LJ Shores Report 10.13.07

Hit the water around 6:00am hoping to make early bait at the pier, but nothing there for me so I went out searching and found some macs just north. A very bleek and dreary morning, with some rain, wind and big swells. Headed across the pond with building seas and finally got to my area. No one out fishing this morning, no boats either. Set out the baits in a strong moving current and shortly thereafter my line goes off. Set the hook and game on but suddenly nothing. Soon realize this fish is coming back towards me so I reel like mad and finally catch up to it. Played tug-o-war for awhile and up comes this big . Little did I know but it was gut hooked so very little chance of losing it.
