Call this number if you haven't already.1 (619) 221-8824 They will update later again this afternoon. At 11am winds were 4 knots. 2-3ft sets. I was out Saturday the 13th and the waves were barely rolling higher than ankles . Wind did pick up a little as the day progressed. But I doubt 15 knots

The link to Torey Pines Glider Port lil' weather station is on the LJ Webcam page.
Paragliding Club folks maintain it, and they need accurate readings - the wind can really impact their ability to play.
It is THE best place to see what the wind is doing at LJ - real time, plus recent data.

You can change the period to 4 hour, 1/2 day, 1 day, 2 days etc. to get an idea about the wind patterns.

I went out Sunday night from 1800-2400 and was windy as heck up until 2200. After that the wind laid down to about 3-5mph, but it was still gusting on and off about 10-15mph. The surf was about 2', not quit with some 2.5'-3's mixed in. The wave were crash almost right on the beach though.
