Older style Hobie PA Seat Question - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I have the Hobie PA with the older seat, although I purchased it new less than a year ago back on the east coast, before I moved out here. While out fishing off LJ on Saturday one of the seat straps broke. Is this covered under warranty or does it fall under the "not covered normal wear" catergory?

Get a new stainless steel buckle. Make sure you install it pointing downward toward the strap and it can't hurt to rough up the contact points with a file.
