Looking to buy ** Hobie Adventure Island **

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a Hobie Adventure Island year 2012-2014.
From Bay Area, willing to commute if price is right.

What are you looking for? A newer 2015/2016 design? I see a dealer selling a brand new 2014 up in Minneapolis/ Hi Tempo for $3K, via craigslist, which includes a standard full warranty. But again that's the older model.

I am looking to save money hence staying with old model.
People are buying new seat model 2015-2016, leaving old model.
Local dealer is asking for $2,890 brand new 2014 AI.

That is a very good deal and you get full 2 year warranty. Going to be hard to beat that. I'm sure that deal won't last long. I would pay a little more, in this case even less, and take the new one full warranty. Think about it, just the adventure, now the revo 16 goes for $2500 new, no sail, no amas. Throw a new Atwood Concentric I seat in that 2014 and you got a better seat than the Vantage 2015-16.

The reason those 2014's are going so cheap is because there is a difference in design performance between pre vantage AI's and post. Most new buyers want post.

Personally I prefer the TI over the AI, pre or post. But your not going to find one of those nearly as cheap. Besides, once your ready to throw a motor on that bad boy AI, you can do almost anything that my TI can do, huge range, just can't carry an extra passenger in rough seas or less storage. Bumpier ride.
