If there is no hole and not scary thin, just leave it as is and keep an eye on it for any additional wear. sometimes attempting to weld thin plastic creates a big problem. You could apply an adhesive keel guard or even JB Weld to give you a wear indicator.

Can try the gator guard to add a layer and protect that area. I’ve used this on my kayak and it’s rock solid.
