Thresher Catch & (Assist) & Release & YT Kill...
Then it seemed only 30 minutes passed by and pow! My new iron gets slammed..Zzzzzzzzzzzz.....it better not be a damn shark finishing off the 2 pounds of resistance my sealine 40 still has left...Zzzzzzzz. Zzz.zz Z ...Shake...Shake...Shake..NOPE! Clearly a YELLER!!!! Not a giant, but on my bs set up it felt like she was fourty, even though she only went twenty nine • fourty one to fork. 3/4 into the fight I noticed big marks under me..not the fat bastard but close enough..I was able to horse it up but not without an attempt at my dinner..You can notice a small mark from the thieving dog..right after i boat it, the dog circles me and surfaces as I laugh at him!!...not this time... Dr. Yani was so kind enough to take a few minute break from his surgon duties to take the otw shots!...i cant thank u enough man!! i really appreciate it when guys are so cool to stop ANYTHING to assist in a small request..Im eternally grateful also to Gabe for videoing that 09 yellow release for me!!!HAMACHI KAMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saving irons...it's what I do.
The DFG might want to step in before yo-yo irons become extinct. I've been doing my best, but some irons just seem to have a death wish . And those long tailed swimming magnets are pretty crafty, too.
Yani has some skills behind the lens. I love the tennis ball hue in the fish's tail, beautiful shot. And way to go, Wade...enjoy your time being WCW numero uno!

Wade, that was one rockin' afternoon. That's a
sweet "my biggest" yellowtail so far. Kick butt on the Whopper circuit! I'm stoked I spent some time with you and Josh on the water. Although I didn't hook up, I learned several nusiance tricks. Sometimes that's all I need, knowing I'll do better next time. Josh, nice release on the thresher. My surgical team will just have to wait... |
