Thought I'd share some rods I've built lately...

Here are some of the latest pictures of the rods I have been working on. I have been finishing up my 9’ Kencore jig stick that I wrapped in Rasta Colors. After fishing it unfinished for a few months, I finally got around to working on the cross wrap. It is actually the first cross wrap that I have ever done… boy they are time consuming, and a pain to do! Haha
I probably spent 6- 8 hours working on it, and in the end it is not as straight as I’d have liked, oh well, it was my first rod anyways. (I have since built a bunch of other rods) All I need to do now is figure out how to tie a Turk’s head, and it will be finished.

The second rod is a Calstar GRFTR 700xl. I am wrapping it in Mexican (or in my case Italian ) colors, I did gold accents next to the green and red guide wraps. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get around to finishing up the butt wrap, and the tip top.

Tyler,

Those are way cool! They're not rods, they're
works of art!
