Cool tank
for what it's worth you don't need the over flow tube, just let it drain into your tank well and out the scuppers, less is better might want to get rid of the whole abs elbow inside while your at it (more room for bait = happier bait) either plug it and drill some small over flow holes or find a screen to cover the hole what Trader Joe's? caddington in Pedro or up in PV

Looks awesome!
Quick question, is that a Trident 13 in your picture? I have one, and am looking to add on a bait tank here soon. I like your crate idea. Kudos!

Interesting! Good info for sure, thank you. I'll have to give the bait tank a whack soon. Time to start shopping for parts!

Great idea!
I need to figure out a better outlet tube. I went with 1/2" and it was WAY to small. I had water flowing out of the top of my tank! I personally don't really like having the water flowing in the rear of my PA it adds just more weight!

It's a Pelican 1060 waterproof case. I picked it up at Fry's electronics of all places.
Yakin- I'm using a 1-1/2 male to 1-1/4 female nylon bushing I picked up at West Marine along with a 1-1/4 pipe thread to 1-1/4 hose 90' elbow. All the PVC was picked up at Lowes. If you have the option of getting the stuff at OEX though they should have everything you need there. Dan |

For the drain outlet hose I use a 1 1/8 thru plug forn west marine Home depot sells a pump hose to fit, and to block off the outlet use a tub/sink screen drain and secure with 3 stainless screw with a stainless nut for a spacer between screen and outlet, abut 3/16 thick nut shoud do.
The less water on my yack the better..

![]() I started at the Pedro store long ago. Since then I have worked at most of the South Bay stores. I was one of the Managers that built the PV store and I was there for it's first Two years. They just moved me down to Torrance on Hawthorne between 190th and Del Amo. Dan |
