Bump!

OK some further clarification this is a jackpot, you are not going for the SLAM you are trying to catch the biggest fish..........actually the highest points fish.

Example:
Moe catches a 45 pound YT worth 55 points 2nd
Shemp catches a 45 pound WSB worth 45 points 3rd
Curly catches a 45 pound halibut worth 65 points 1st

After there are 3 people to submit, winners get the pot and we will start a new entry via Paypal

Hope this is sufficient clarification.............now STEP UP and git sum!

Hmmm...

I'm sure everyone has the same idea: wait for the roster to build up and pounce! Maybe that's just me?

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised more guys haven't entered this. It's not like you have to put together a years worth of fish. One fish and you're in the money; how easy is that? And for the guys who target Halibut, I would think, season wise anyway---right now you have a huge advantage. It's February for Pete's Sake!

Simply put, if you plan to go fishing in the near future it doesn't really make sense not to enter. Every dog has his day!

And to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, I'll donate some cash to the guys with a huge advantage (Halibut fisherman).

Lets play!

So correct me if I am wrong. Once a fish that qualifies is caught, that category is closed, and that participant is stuck with the points earned by that fish, until one of each of the other 2 species is caught? There is no upgrade unless you choose not to enter a qualifying fish in hopes of improvement? And soon as one of each is caught you start all over again?

further clarification, the example I gave showed the point structure, but all 3 entries can be the same species....basically you enter, then you catch 1 of the 3 (any of the 3) species listed that weigh more than the minimum weight. After you have submitted, a second person subs, then a 3rd. Jackpot closes, winners get their piece of the pot and we go again with another $20 buy in.

You can also hold your cards close to your chest and throw down at the last minute to be the 3rd, but you may miss out and 4th sub don't get in. So you don't have to play your catch in any specific time and can try for an upgrade. I like when a little strategy enters the equation.....but it has been so long since I caught anything that would be acceptable, I'd be happy to sub anything!
