Add a couple peddles and I might be interested.

When I read this post, I started thinking about Apple versus the rest of the tablet and phone market. Most of the competitive products are miles ahead when it comes to taking advantage of the latest technology but the Apple stuff just works and the customers keep coming.

The same can be said about Hobie versus the rest of the kayak world. Hobie hulls and fishing-related design aspects are usually a few years behind the rest of the industry, just like Apple. Fortunately for them, they have the Mirage Drive. Without that, or something that works as well, I cannot see any reason to be looking for a new ride any time soon.
