Uni Butter on Thumb is a deadly combination......work it slowly in the deep kelp!

Sorry to hear about your painful day.

Needless to say, the first lesson he learned about bait fishing was that it no fun "being the bait". Slow was the word for the day. Got 1 Turd and 1 Butt, but the conditions were excellent after the morning breeze let up. All fish, except the Butt, were released unharmed .

Lucky someone knew to do the line trick on that embedded hook. Had to do it once and it worked like a charm.

I think I saw the "hook line pull" steps/ procedure somewhere before.

Can someone recap the procedure for us or maybe provide a link?

Thank you.
