I caught #20+ Yellowtail on #65 spectra, #40 fluoro, up to 4 minute fight.

The first time fishing LJ, I almost shit myself when I thought a damn near horizontal kelp stringer was a whale beneath me.. It was the first time I had seen the kelp and it was just as high tide was coming down to low on a day with a ripping current.. I still get the heebie jeebies when one sneeks up on me unexpectedly...

I swam across the San Diego River in Santee to get a snagged buzzbait. I smelt pretty bad for few days.
