I have had a mako latch onto my bait tube before. he gave a couple pretty good tugs before I was able to pull the tube into the yak.

Jim Sammons was torpeded by a Sealion a year or two ago. Dumped him and his rods. The dog was going for Yt that were hanging. Even though the fish is in your possesion it's basically chum when it is hanging.

I was paddling across the canyon one dark morning when my bait tube got attacked by something. Pulled my kayak down and back and scarred the crap out of me!
