Are you guys using the "basket" style nets, or the "old school" flat two-ring type nets?

I'm using the flat hoop nets and I am wondering about how many bugs I'm losing while trying to pull them up, based on never having brought up anything besides crabs and invertebrates (and the odd sculpin/guitarfish)...

The basket type hoop nets seem like they would be very cumbersome on a yak
