I've mounted my last 3 as far back in the boat as I can reach in in the boat, through the seat hatch. I don't notice any interference from the drive, even when I'm hauling a$$. On my first I had it mounted up front, probably too far up front, just in front of the sail post. When I had it up front I did notice interference from the bow splash when I was really moving, as front of the boat was cutting through the swell. It was also a pain the few times I did try to store my rods in the boat, as they got tangled in the wires, but that was probably due to sloppy installation. I suppose there is good logic for CJ's Location, maybe the best of both worlds.

Now get that thing ready so we can fish
