very common in sd bay. they get over a foot in length sometimes.

Those Mantis Shrimp are delicious.
I had them in Thailand served in Curry, It was the first time I saw one up close. The Chef cornered it with a plastic laundry basket and hauled it off into the kitchen. I was curious about the instrument he used, but found out why soon after. They will hurt you bad if they strike at you. |
