Andy, that gaff looks a little rusty. Next time if you plan on not using it for an extended period of time, try coating it with a little WD-40 to prevent rust |

Norm made it look too easy from the skiff, he had limits before some of us had our 1st. He moved out of the zone and spent the rest of the day snoozing on and off with 2 lines that never got bit. we would paddle out and get more squid or drop off a fish.
Jim's last fish pulling him right at the boat , he went under the anchor line as I grabbed a rod from the back Jim getting towed to Catalina..........."that aint no yellowtail!"

Jim's first fish on the Boga
I lost one fish from pulling too hard on the 50# set up I brought for the SLUG YT. Gary lost 2 big fish and his 3rd made a bee line for this guys anchor. He graciously pulled it up with Jim's help the fish found the gaff. I later was towed into the side of his boat and they lifted lines to keep things clear, very cool guys We could San Clemente Island at times, with Catalina and the CA coast 50 miles away.

Here's a few of mine..
Sunup on Wednesday, on my buddy Norms center console maybe fifteen minutes away for the island. Andy making it look easy. Gary "Bubblehide" Andy again... A few of mine.. Fun trip, great conditions, I'll see if I can put up a more detailed report later tonight. Jim |
