Looks like a great time. The weather looks great too. What was the name of the campsite? Thanks for sharing.

Redsled - we stayed at Lake Havasu State Park Windsor Beach. We checked out some other sites on our way in but this was the only water front one we could find. I think we lucked out since only about 5 sites at that campground are on the water and there are no reservations.

mtnbykr2 - Didn't see any marks for striper. Lots of good large mouth bass habitats.

This was my 1st time in Lake Havasu, actually I would have liked to fish in the river but time didn't permit. We were visiting family from Las Vegas so really it was more of a visiting trip with some time for fishing.

Ok. It looks like the weather cooperated with you. Last time I was there we got blown out by the wind and 4 foot close frequency waves. Not a fun experience. We did manage catch small stripers though.

Looking at the pics I was thinking about the wind. One advantage of being on the river is the canyon walls block the wind and there's no room because of the width of the river to form the kind of wave action you can get up at the lake.

Looks like a fun trip great that the weather cooperated.
