then we got hungry and decided to have a picnic lunch in the middle of the lake!

Roman's turn, as he hooks and lands a nice one on the 2 pound test rig...it was amazing to watch Roman get towed on light line - 2lb test!

Smallest fish weighed 3 lbs, these were large trout.

It was an absolute beautiful day on the water, clear blue skies, air temp was somewhere in the 70's and water temp was a cool 61 degrees. Irvine Lake is close to home and the fish are large and hungry! 'I love it when a plan comes together!' -ED

Great job dad...wasn't there a tournament at Irvine Lake? In the pics it looks empty. Roman's fish could have been in the top 10. Once again awesome job!!!

You're absolutely right about the tournament Roby. Unfortunately we didn't enter. It appears that Roman's fish would have yielded over $400 dollars! The greater reward for me was having a great day fishing with the kids.

I heard "Bubba" had the trailer towed out to deeper water to make a better "honey hole" for the catfishin'/noodlin' in the summer time.
