How lucky is that......
I found a Brinkman electric dome smoker. On Facebook market place, used one time because the nice lady didn't like it. What made it cool 😎 it was in the neighborhood I grew up in 5 minutes from my mother's house. I didn't even try to talk her down although other people tried, she was happy to get the $50.
Now I have another heating element there $35 to replace The secret to making them last is don't put wood chips on the heat element and it nothing touching it but the metal boxes with pellets or chips

Worst thing you can do...
To an electric heating element is have a fire 🔥 smoking that will surely destroy it.

BTW.....
I cold smoke fish with a small electric charcoal starter.
There only $10 at home depot. If you use the Brinkmann electric element You will have broiled fish because it's to hot 🔥 🥵 👀 you on the flip side.....but not in a kayak
